The ISP headers (ISP) and the MAX231 chips (U5) must be mounted to the bottom of the Controller board. Once the 40-pin DIP socket is placed on the topside of the board, it is impossible to access the leads of these components.
Tip:Use a .1inch 10 Position Connector to hold the ISP header's .1inch Headers in alignment while soldering.
