WELCOME TO ROTOMOTION

Rotomotion designs, manufactures and operates helicopter robots (a.k.a. UAV) and aerial robotic systems and components. Rotomotion systems are designed to be affordable aerial platforms for small cameras and other sensor payloads.

TECHNOLOGY

Rotomotion technologies include Inertial Measuring Units, Attitude and Heading Reference Systems, Flight Controller (VTOL/ROG), Digital Video Systems, Digital Radio Link/Telemetry, UAV/RPV Helicopter Mechanics and Integration. In addition, Rotomotion services include customization of our 2D and 3D IMU and AHRS systems, Radio Receiver Modifications (extraction of JR/Spektrum DSM2 and/or Futaba S.BUS signals), custom sensor integration, and UAV/RPV Helicopter (VTOL) and airplane (ROG) setup, customizations, maintenance, and training.

ROTOMOTION GROUND STATION SOFTWARE

The GCS allows the user to program waypoint routes and monitor real-time status of the UAV systems via a moving map display, and artificial horizon and other multifunction display panels (MFD) such as systems status, servo commands, etc. The GCS software runs on almost any modern Windows 7 or Linux based computer and can use any HID-compatible USB joystick.

Before an operation, the GCS downloads and caches geo-referenced map imagery from multiple, selectable internet sources and constructs the waypoint route and simulates the operation with the included mission simulation software. On site, the GCS allows the operator to initiate the auto-takeoff, perform waypoint routes or control with a teleop, fly-by-wire joystick and retrieve the vehicle with a computer controlled landing sequence. During the flight, the GCS allows the operator to toggle a vision based video stabilization system to stabilize high-zoom level video.
